Obituary for Helen Miller Mitchell Gross
Helen Miller Gross, 91, passed away December 6, 2017 at St. Dominic Hospital.
A native of Kirksville, Missouri, she was born January 12, 1926, the daughter of the late William and Berdie Miller Mitchell. Mrs. Gross was an active member of Redeemer Presbyterian Church where she participated in Bible Studys and any activity that assisted in improving the community and her church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Gross, Sr., and her son, James L. Gross, Jr. Survivors include her son, John Gross (Susan), of Baton Rouge; grandsons, John Gross, Jr. and David Gross, both of Baton Rouge; grandson, James Wendrock and his children: Ashley & Aidan, all of Katy, Texas; granddaughter, Kelly Smith and her children: Tyler, Drayton, & Kolten Smith, all of Spicewood, Texas; sister-in-law, Carol Halloran; lifelong friends, Madge & Mike Duke and Carolyn Loposer and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Friends are invited to visitation with the family after 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Redeemer Presbyterian Church, 640 East Northside Dr, Jackson, MS 39206 where a Memorial Service will begin at 12:00 Noon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Redeemer Presbyterian Church.
