Obituary for Harold Curtis
Harold Curtis, age 61, passed from this life into eternal life on March 27, 2022 at River Oaks hospital in Flowood surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 14, 1960 in Baldwin, MS to Arlon and Shirley Curtis. In 1977, he met and married the love of his life and best friend, Karen Smith Curtis. Anyone that ever met Harold knew that he loved his family. He would tell everyone he met about his 2 good-looking sons and 5 beautiful granddaughters. Harold is survived by his wife, Karen Curtis; two sons, Chad Curtis (Haley) and Chris Curtis; five grandchildren, Mikayla Curtis, Ramsey Curtis, Zoe Jane Curtis, Brooklynn Curtis and Braelynn Curtis; his mother, Shirley Curtis Russell (Doyle); siblings, James Curtis (Melody), Deborah Baughman (Mitchell), Keith Curtis (Natalie), David Curtis (Angie); Tracy Cooper, who he lovingly referred to as his daughter; a multitude of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Arlon Curtis; paternal grandparents, Odie Way and Helen Leone Curtis and maternal grandparents, V.L. and Ora Azille Hopper. Harold was a member of Central Baptist Church in Byram. Harold's battle with medical issues in recent years showed his courage in facing life challenges with a smile and despite the pain remained strong until the end. He was loved and will be greatly missed by all.
