Obituary for Gregory "Cowboy" Frank, Sr.
Gregory "Cowboy" Frank, Sr., was born April 13, 1962 to Allen Frank and Leola Seaton in Jackson, MS. He was the fourth child of six children. He is preceded in death by his father, Mr. Allen Frank, a brother, Mr. Allen Lewis Frank, a sister, Ms. Rachel Frank Hannah, his paternal and maternal grandparents, and his nephews, Garetha Frank and Al Jamard Frank.
He joined Black's Chapel M. B. Church under the leadership of Rev. John McNeal. Due to his failing health condition, he was not able to attend church as he wanted to. Gregory praised and believed in God. Proverbs 3:5-Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
He was educated in the Jackson Public School District. He enjoyed life to the fullest by and was an active fisherman and hunter. He was a long distance truck driver for a number of years and a pioneer when it came to riding motorcycles, and joined in the creation of the "Smok-N-Guns" Riding Club where he was a member for many years. He enjoyed barbecuing with family and friends. The "Smok-N -Guns" catered to the needs of family and the community by hosting many events for special needs children (especially his son, Reggie) in and around the community. He was a member of the Masonic Temple, Lodge #240. His family was truly his heart, love, and inspiration. Most of all, his children were his love and backbone and he was theirs through all times that God blessed him with them. He loved and adored his grandchildren to the highest.
He leaves to cherish his memories: His children: Greg, Jr., Jamille, Reginald, Adrienne (Jackson, MS) and Wesley (Atlanta, GA); mother, Leola Seaton Bracey; sisters, Shirley Harland (Atlanta, GA) & Mary Frank (Jackson, MS); brothers, Donald Frank (Atlanta, GA) & Allen Frank, Jr. (Regina) (Vicksburg, MS); a sister-in-law, Doris Frank (Birmingham, AL); three grandchildren: Traveon, Christophe; Jr. & Za'Marriah (Jackson, MS); a grand host of uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and so many others that he so affectionately called sisters and brothers along with a grand host of friends. A special friend, "Helen."
