Obituary for Gerald (Jerry) Michael Geimer
Jerry (Gerald) Michael Geimer, 61, died June 7, 2017 at Hospice Ministries. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 9, 2017 at St. Richard Catholic Church with burial following at Parkway Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the church. Jerry (Gerald) Michael Geimer was born in Libertyville, Illinois, on January 8, 1956, the eldest son of Gerald N. Geimer and the late Maryanne Geimer. He graduated with honors from St. Joseph Catholic School in Jackson, MS. After graduating at the top of his class from the University of Southern Mississippi, Jerry enjoyed his career as an IT Infrastructure Architect in Houston, Texas where he has resided for the past thirty-nine years. A sports enthusiast, Jerry enjoyed bowling, playing softball, and watching his favorite teams in action. He was preceded in death by his mother, Maryanne Geimer. Jerry is survived by his father Gerald (Jerry) Nicholas Geimer; one brother, Wayne M. Geimer and his wife, Lisa, of Madison, MS; nephew, Randy Geimer (Rachel) of Madison, MS; and niece, Elisabeth Geimer of Dallas, TX. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Richard Catholic Church; P. O. Box 16547; Jackson, MS 39236.
