Obituary for Georgia Hart Samuelson Ancell
Georgia Hart Samuelson Ancell, 97, passed away peacefully at her home in Madison, Mississippi, on July 10, 2020. She was born January 5, 1923 to Roy Benjamin and Phebe Rosette (Gould) Hart in Nampa, Idaho, where she was raised. She was married to her eternal companion, Emil James “Jim” Samuelson, Sr., (1912-1966) on August 20, 1944. Subsequent to Jim’s death, she married Richard Erwin Ancell (1904-2006). She had residence in Salt Lake City, Utah; Reno, Nevada; and Madison, Mississippi. After Jim’s death she attended Steven’s-Henager Business College and was employed thereafter as ZCMI working in the credit office of various branches, managing the Valley Fair Credit Branch for a number of years. She served on the board of the Rose Park Condominiums in various positions. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, and swimming, but mostly her association with friends and family to whom she devoted her life, as well as to her God. She was an example of faith, love, kindness, and patient endurance to all who knew her. Survivors include her daughter, Roxanne (Elliott) Samuelson Asay, 7 grandchildren, David (Maria) Asay, Amelia (Dennis) Schmidt, Kimberly Asay, Clinton (Ashley) Asay, Nathan (Lacey) Asay, Samuel (Lindsey) Asay, and 16 great-grand children. Step-daughter Shirley Ancell (Russell) Penrose and numerous step-grand children, great and great-great- grandchildren, and a foster son, Henry (Dorothy) Keichler, who loved her as his mother. She was preceded in death by both husbands, her parents, one sister, Elaine Hart Whipple, and five brothers, Claude, Allen, Mark, Frank, and Ralph Hart. Step Children Violet Samuelson Samuels, Emil James Samuelson, Jr., Marion Samuelson Rogers, and Douglas Ancell. Burial at Elysian Burial Gardens, Salt Lake City, Utah.
