Obituary for George Tommy Floyd
George Tommy Floyd, 61, died Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at University Medical Center. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 22, 2017 at Sebrell Funeral Home in Ridgeland.
Mr. Floyd was born on July 25, 1956, the son of William and Bessie Floyd. A longtime resident of Rankin County, he was an accomplished carpenter and contractor owning and operating Floyd Construction for many years. Mr. Floyd cherished his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his father, W.T. Floyd, Jr. and sister, Debbie Henson.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy Floyd of Richland; daughter, Malisha Clements (Jason) of Ridgeland; son, Ryan Floyd (Kathleen) of Pearl; grandchildren, Austin (Kenzie), Seth Kirsten, Xayden, Kingston, Kiara, and great grandson, Dawson, Mr. Floyd is also survived by his mother Merle Floyd of Richland; sister, Patti Bowman (Mark) of Richland; brother, Glenn Floyd (Wendy) of Brandon and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
