Obituary for George Ray Williamson
George was born June 13, 1940 in Pinola, MS and resided in Flora. Visitation will be from 4 PM to 8 PM Monday and 9 AM Tuesday at Sebrell Funeral Home in Ridgeland. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Franklin Baptist Church Cemetery. George was in the autobody industry in the Jackson area for over 50 years. He never met a stranger and was always welcoming to everyone he met. George was an avid country music fan and had a passion for automobiles. He was a member of Franklin Baptist Church in Bolton. He was preceded in death by his father and mother George and Eva Williamson and son Marty Williamson. He is survived by his wife Sara, sons Ricky Ray Williamson and wife Caroline Williamson of Huntsville, AL; William “Bill” Ray Williamson of Houston, TX; one daughter Tammy Easley of Flora, and one step son Mitch Ely of Denver CO. He had one sister Hazel Nichols of Crystal Springs. Grandchildren Christine Walker, William Jones and Logan Ely. Bro. Junior Strickland will be officiating the service.
