Obituary for Forrest Edwin Black III
Forrest Edwin Black III, 65, died on December 5, 2017 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, Mississippi after an illness. Forrest was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on September 28, 1952 to Forrest Edwin Black, Jr., and Joane Hamilton Black. He grew up in Anchorage, Kentucky and received a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Emory University. During his fifty-year professional life, Forrest, who loved solving problems, supported numerous insurance carriers in major software development initiatives, traveling widely and living in various locations throughout the United States. Most recently, Forrest spent much time in Hope Town, Abaco, Bahamas, a community that he loved where he enjoyed golfing, boating and cooking for and spending time with friends and family. Forrest is survived by his wife of 39 years, Josephine Connolly Black; his son F. Edwin Black IV and daughter-in-law Deidra Aery Black of Cedar Park, Texas; his daughter Julia Connolly Black and Anson O’Connor of Austin, Texas; his sister, Sherry Black Musselwhite of Atlanta, Georgia; his brothers Greg Black and sister-in-law Diana Black of Melbourne Beach, Florida; and Jeffrey Goulder and sister-in-law Shannon Goulder of Louisville, Kentucky.
