Florence Galloway Allen Jackson
Florence Galloway Allen, 86, died Sunday , May 30, 2021 at Compere’s Nursing Home. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Lakewood Memorial Park South.
Mrs. Allen was born on June 18, 1934, in DeKalb.MS, the daughter of the late Claude and Nellie Iris Galloway. She loved being a mother to her children and their friends. Mrs. Allen enjoyed working in the yard, sewing and cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She will be most remembered as a devoted mother, a beloved grandmother a cherished sister and friend to many.
Mrs. Allen is preceded in death by her husband, Dan Allen; parents, Claude and Nellie Iris Galloway ; brother, Verlin Newton Galloway; son-in-law, Robert Gates and grandson, Jesse Gates.
Survivors include her children, Lynn Richard of Church Point, LA; Kay Graves of Terry; Ann Wade of Jackson; Danny Allen of Jackson; Kent Allen of Jackson; Joy Gates of Jackson; and Brian Allen of Nashville, TN.
She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
