Obituary for Fermin Valdes Mondragon
Fermin Valdes Mondragon, 55, died Monday, September 11, 2017 at UMC. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 13, 2017 at The Cathedral of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church with burial following in Natchez Trace Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Sebrell Funeral Home in Ridgeland.
Mr. Mondragon was born on May 12, 1962, in Mexico and owned and operated Cinco de Mayo Restaurant in Ridgeland for 27 years. He loved working at his restaurant and insuring his customers had a wonderful dining experience. Mr. Mondragon could often be seen drinking coffee and watching the news. He enjoyed playing dominos and cherished spending time with his family. He also appreciated trying new foods and baseball.
He was a communicant of The Cathedral of St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church.
He is lovingly survived by his devoted wife, Felicitas Salinas of Brandon; his beloved children, Sergio Valdes of Jackson; Evelyn Valdes of Brandon; Jackie Valdes of Brandon and Daniel G. Munoz of Brandon; granddaughter, Emma Elizondo; brothers and sisters, Alfredo Ramirez, Elvira Perez and Gustavo & Irma Valdes Mondragon all of Mexico City, Mexico.
