Obituary for Eula Mae Denney
Brandon - Eula Mae Denney, 88, died Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Baptist Hospital. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 22, 2017 at Sebrell Funeral Home in Ridgeland with burial following in Clarkson Cemetery near Mathiston, MS. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Denney was born on August 13, 1929, in Mantee, MS, the daughter of the late Sam and Mary Denney. A graduate of Hinds Community College, she worked for Sperry Vickers in Jackson for over 20 years, retiring as a materials planner. In retirement, Mrs. Denney remained active, moving and residing in Las Vegas for 10 years. She began a new career, selling insurance for many companies. She returned to Brandon to be close to family, continuing her insurance career until almost 80. Mrs. Denney enjoyed playing golf and was an accomplished seamstress. She loved mowing and manicuring her lawn and cherished spending time with her family and her 2 dogs.
Survivors include her children, Linda Blackwell of Brandon; Gail Vancuren (Russ) of Hercules, CA; Paula Keifer (Bob) of Brandon, MS; Ernest Denney Vaughn of Calhoun City, MS; 6 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Hutchinson of Clarksville, TN; Pat Cleveland of Raymond and numerous nieces and nephews.
