Obituary for Ermene G. Kometas
ERMENE G. KOMETAS Forever In Our Hearts
Ermene G. Kometas passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, Mississippi. She was 88.
A memorial will be held for the family at Sebrell Funeral Home Chapel in Ridgeland on March 16th, 2019 at 3:00 p.m., with Reverend John Sanders officiating.
Ermene was born in Brownwood, Texas on June 11, 1930. She was the beloved Mother of six children and lived to know all her grandchildren and three times great grandchildren. She was dearly loved by all. She worked in Hospital Administration and was a professional musician and artist. Her talents and creativeness were endless. She loved to travel and held a special place in her heart for the ocean especially following her move from her Florida home to Mississippi.
Ermene is preceded in death by first husband, Richard Patrick Gordon; sister, Sallie McKinney Davis; daughter, Linda Carol Gordon; and second husband, Captain Nickolas Spiros Kometas.
Ermene leaves behind her children: daughters, Patricia Potter (Craig), of Ocala, FL; Karry Hanson (Jim), of Brandon; and Sallie Mabry, of Clinton; sons, Richard Dennis Gordon (Deborah) of Martinez, GA and Stephen Dale Gordon (Kathy), of Terry; her sister, Peggy Manusos Clark (Jons), of Flint, TX and her brother, Jared Gann, of Santa Fe, NM; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives.
Ermene will be greatly missed by her children and all who knew and loved her.
