Obituary for Elouise Hebert Tolar
Elouise died peacefully on Monday, December 27, 2021, a few weeks before her 98th birthday. She was the oldest of 6 children born to Houston and Lucille Pierrotti Hebert of Mamou, La. She is preceded in death by her husband Calvin James Tolar, and son George Ray Crawford. Brothers, Eloi Hebert, Minuse “Pitch” Hebert and sister, Cecelia Ann Hebert Fontenot. She is survived by her daughter, Diana Crawford Watson, and son, Talmadge Paul “Buddy” Crawford Sr. Grand Children, Mark Crawford Watson, Talmadge Paul Crawford II, Anthony “Tony” Tolar Crawford and Donna Michelle Crawford. Great-Grand children, Lacy, Ashley, Brittany, Gage, Bella, and Joseph. Great-Great-Grand children, Christian, Payton, Quinn, Oakley, and Presley. Brother, Houston “Clyde” Hebert of Pineville, La. Sister-in-law, Laura Hebert of Ragley, La. She was Aunt Elouise to many nieces and nephews.
She started her nursing career in 1943, at Eunice Clinic in Eunice, La. In December, 1952, she opened Waterproof Beauty Nook in Waterproof, La. and was a hairdresser until she retired. She cherished her time with her family. She loved people and readily made friends. Her friends were precious to her. She was a faithful Episcopalian. She was a communicant at Christ Episcopal Church in St. Joseph, La. Grace Episcopal Church in Waterproof, La. and St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Brandon, Ms. She was involved in her church, her community, and her residence at Peachtree Village in Brandon, Ms. where she lived for 3 years.
A Memorial service for Elouise will be held at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Brandon, Ms. 104 North College St., at 1 pm. Monday, January 3rd 2022. Visitation to follow. Interment will be held in Natchez City Cemetery, 2 Cemetery Rd. Natchez, Ms. at 1pm. Tuesday, January 4th 2022. Services are being handled by Sebrell Funeral Home in Ridgeland,
