Obituary for Earl Watson Dawson
Earl Watson Dawson was called home by his heavenly Father January 16, 2022 Earl was born July 30,1936 in Bolton Mississippi to Alma and WA Dawson. He is survived by his wife Trudy, daughter Kimberly Ann (Kim) and son-in-law Richard Sanders, grandson Dawson James Fortier and sister Mary Lynn and brother-in-Law Pastor Steve Purvis. He was proceeded in death by his daughter Debra Lynn Fortier, parents WA and Alma Dawson, His brothers Hilton and Sonny (JW) Dawson and sisters Edwina Grishman and Agnes Dawson. Earl and Trudy had recently moved to Buford Georgia (Oct 2021) to be closer to their daughter and grandson. They were attending Christ the Shephard Lutheran Church in Alpharetta Georgia. Earl retired from the US Air Force and the US Army. He also worked for the US Post Office and Greenville Hospital in Greenville, Mississippi. Earl was diagnosed with stage four prostrate cancer in 2020 after a bout with melanoma in his sinus cavity in 2017. Funeral Services will be held at Sebrell Funeral Home Friday, January 21, 2022 at 11 AM. The visitation is Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 4 PM until 6 PM at Sebrell Funeral Home. The family will welcome flowers, however, would prefer donations sent to: Christ the Shepherd 4655 Webb Bridge Road Alpharetta, GA 30005 In memory of Earl Dawson/earmarked for the Stephen Ministry Program. His daughter is an active Stephen Minister, and he was very supportive of her and this program.
