Obituary for Earblee Puckett, Jr.

Earblee Puckett, Jr., 68, died Friday, November 25, 2022, at St. Dominic Hospital. A funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, November 26, 2022, at Southside Assembly of God. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m.


Mr. Puckett was born on January 27, 1954, in Jackson, MS; the son of the late Earblee Puckett Sr., and Leatrice Puckett. He retired from Stuart C. Irby Electric where he worked as a truck driver for over 28 years.


Mr. Puckett loved his family dearly and was affectionately known as “Mr. Clean.” He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association and also occasionally worked flag lines with the Patriot Guard.


Mr. Puckett also loved to travel, especially on Carnival cruises. He was a faithful member of Southside Assembly of God for 26 year.


He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Belinda Puckett of Florence; son, Michael Puckett of Florence; son Gray Puckett (Julie) of Brandon; son, Dana Puckett (Emily) of West Monroe, LA; grandchildren, John Ellis; Ezra Puckett, Oliver Puckett and great grandchild, Sebastian Ellis. He is also survived by brothers, Freddy Puckett (Susan) of Pearl; Anthony Tonkel Puckett of Jackson; sister, Janet Renee Sanders of Brookhaven and numerous nieces and nephews.
