Obituary for Dorothy L. (Welsh) Watts
Dorothy L. (Welsh) Watts went to be with Jesus on August 5, 2020 after an extended illness over the last two years. She was born to John Thomas (Tom) and Myrtle Stewart Welsh in Good Hope (Leake County) Mississippi on March 11. 1936.
Dorothy worked most of her life as a hair dresser, but some of the things she enjoyed most was fishing, deer hunting, and gardening with her family, which she loved spending time with.
She was the youngest of a large family that she loved dearly.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Myrtle Welsh, many brothers and sisters, her son, Timothy (Tim) McCraw and her husband Glenn D. Watts.
She is survived by a daughter, Jan McCraw and two that she loved like daughters, Sonya Hebert and Judy Childs; two Watts children, Gail Daves (Bubba) and Richard Watts (Rhonda) and six grandchildren; one sister, Quay Brown; brother, James M. (Bud) Welsh and many nieces and nephews whom she adored.
Visitation will begin at 12 Noon Friday, August 7, 2020 at Ludlow Baptist Church Ludlow, MS followed by a service at 2:00 p.m. A graveside service will follow at Good Hope Cemetery in Good Hope, Mississippi.
In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorials be made to Ludlow Baptist Church.
