Obituary for Donald Eugene Wilson
Donald Eugene Wilson, 69, was born on November 19, 1952, in Wisner, Louisiana. A funeral service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, May 29, 2022, at Jesus Name Tabernacle Church in Richland. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the church.
Mr. Wilson served as an evangelist and minister for 52 years and spread the Gospel throughout the Southeastern United States. A long time resident of Florence, he was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church. Mr. Wilson never met a stranger and ministered to those in need.
Along with his parents, William Joseph Wilson and Myrtle O’dean Parker Wilson, he is preceded in death by a brother, Lil Joe Wilson, brother, Ronnie Wilson and grandchild, Devon Smith.
He is lovingly survived by his wife of over 50 years, Kathalene Wilson of Pearl; son, Lil Don Wilson and his wife, Kimmie of Pearl; daughter, Crystal Smith and her husband, Ray of Pearl; daughter, Melanie Adkins and her husband, Keith of Henderson, TN; grandchildren, Ray Smith, Jr., and his wife, Tawania of Raleigh. MS; Nathaniel Smith and his wife, Sarah of Magee, MS; Starr Presley of Henderson, TN; Danielle Smith of Pearl; Destiny and Aubrey Wilson both of Pearl; great grandchildren, Colton and Kaylee Smith of Raleigh and sister Alice Wilson of Pearl.
