DeLores (Ball) Glazier (98) Went to be with her Heavenly Father December 7, 2024.
DeLores was the first of four children born June 5, 1926, to William D. and Hester (Prisock) Ball. She grew up in Louisville, MS and accepted Christ as her savior as a teenager while attending First Baptist Church in Louisville.
DeLores married Clark Horton in 1945 and together they moved to Jackson, MS remaining there until Clark’s death in 1974.
It was during those years in Jackson where she and Clark raised three children: Roger, Jan, and Bobby.
She married Herman C. Glazier in 1984. Herman passed away in 2003. Delores moved to Ridgeland, MS in 2005 to be near her children.
She is preceded in death by her beloved sons Roger (1966) and Bobby (2013); her son-in-law James Gabriel (2016); her daughter in law, Dianne Horton (2022), her parents; her brothers Robert (Bob) Ball, Marion (Buddy) Ball, her sister Ann Mayo; her sisters-in-law June (McAlilly) Ball and Frances (Stewart) Ball; her brother-in-law, Hubert Mayo; and her niece Penny (Ball) Black.
She is survived by her daughter Jan (Horton) Gabriel of Gluckstadt MS; Jan’s son Jason (Amy) Gabriel of Blacksburg, VA and their children
Jackson, John Parker, and Annaliese, her grandson Blake (Katie) Horton of Oxford, MS and their children Sam, and Max, and, her many nieces and nephews.
A small service will be held Thursday, December 19, 11:00 a.m., in the chapel at Broadmoor Baptist Church, 1531 Highland Colony Parkway in Madison, MS with visitation beginning at 10:30 a.m. the same day.
Jan would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the staff at The Arbor Nursing Facility in Ridgeland, MS, the Tommy Jarrett Lifegroup at Broadmoor Baptist Church for all their continuing love and support, and, to Cliff Hardin, Care Pastor at Broadmoor for his unwavering kindness and support.
