Obituary for Deborah Ann Pridgen
Deborah Ann Pridgen, a native of Crystal Springs, Mississippi, joined her Heavenly Father on Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Merit Health River Oaks Hospital. She was 58.
She was born December 6, 1962, to Betty Richardson Brown and the late Clinton C. Brown.
Raised in Crystal Springs, she was a graduate of Copiah Academy where she excelled in basketball. Debbie worked for the State of Mississippi at the Department of Employment Security and the Department of Environmental Quality before retiring after 28 years of dedicated service.
Following her retirement, she devoted her life to ministry and drawing in others to the love and salvation in Jesus Christ. She was devoted to numerous ministry works including the Rankin County Jail Ministry, The Pointe Celebrate Recovery Group, Church of the King in Morton, and All Things New Ministry, Inc.
Debbie was a sincere, funny, and driven person that approached life with full force while living it to the fullest. She had a magnetic personality that drew people to her and her good works. She embraced those that were struggling and dedicated much of her time to changing lives for the better. She was a wonderful and devoted wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She will be missed dearly by her family, including her church family and the many friends that she has accumulated over the years.
In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her brother, Clinton Dale Brown.
She is survived by the one true love of her life, her husband, Aubrey Pridgen, of Brandon; daughters, Erin Jones (James), of Spring Hill, TN and Megan Floyd (Daniel), of Thompson’s Station, TN; son, Aubrey Eugene “A.J.” Pridgen, Jr. (Stephanie), of Colorado Springs, CO; her mother, Betty Brown; brothers, Roy Brown and Bill Brown (Joy); sisters, Cindy McAlpin (Larry) and Dana Bowman (Ben); grandchildren: Aubree Jones, Brady Jones, Camdyn Ann Floyd, Blakely Floyd, Skyler Pridgen, Jake Clayton, Ira Clayton, and Kamryn Pridgen; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and her Forever Family.
Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 3, 2021, on the outdoor grounds of The Pointe Church, 1120 Star Road in Brandon. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Gardens. Masks are required and social distancing best practices are in effect. Please respect the family's wishes for the good of everyone's health and safety and mind restricting physical consolation or contact.
