Obituary for David Wayne McKnight
David Wayne McKnight passed away January 25, 2021 at University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS. He was born May 11, 1980 in Mound Bayou, MS to the late Charles A. McKnight and Mary Lois Morgan Smith . David was an outdoorsman, especially fishing and swimming. David was great to be around, he was funny and enjoyed being goofy he truely was the life of the party; a true comedian and quick witted. He was into old cars and tractors; Cooking was also a passion of his; he loved being in the country; he enjoyed all kinds of music but espically alternative rock music and loved all dogs; and never met a stranger. David is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Pawpaw and Mawmaw Morgan; paternal grandparents; father; stepfather, Larry Lee Jackson; and brother, Larry Lee Jackson Jr. He is survived by his mother, Mary Smith (Scott) of Goreville, IL; daughter, Gracie Addyson McKnight of Byram, MS; brother, Bobby Joe McKnight of Rockford, IL; sisters, Mary Ann Jackson-Comans (Chad) of Pearl, MS and Stephanie Greiner (Brad) of Ozark, IL; Uncle Jimmy (Cynthia) of Drew,Ms; cousins, John Morgan (April) of Texas and Jennifer Kiihnl (Perry) of Mississippi; nephews and nieces, Akira, Madix, Karma, Chevy, Dallas, Kevin, Blayre, Kamilla, Jackson, Lil' Renny, Cayden and Jayda. Along with many other cousins and loved ones. Super Dave will be living on through his organ donations. They were able to donate his pancreas, both kidneys, and that golden heart of his! A Funeral Service will be Sunday, January 31 at Sebrell Funeral Home at 2 PM with Bro Whittington officiating. There will be a public visitation from 1 PM until 2 PM. Due to the COVID 19 pandemic masks are mandated when entering the funeral home.
