Obituary for David Michael Plott
David Michael Plott, 69, of Pearl Mississippi, passed away at his home on June 9, 2017 in Pearl, Mississippi.
A family visitation will be at 9:30 am on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 at Grace Baptist Church in Brandon, Mississippi with a memorial service to follow at 10:30 am. Pastor Jeff Walker of Grace Baptist Church will officiate the service. Arrangements are by Sebrell Funeral Home in Jackson, Mississippi.
David Michael Plott was born in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Betty Jean Grinnell and Glenn Plott on August 5, 1947. He went to school in Louisiana. He worked as a Longshoreman in Galveston, Texas for many years, worked as a heavy equipment operator, and was the successful owner of a landscape business with his brother Jeff in Alvin, Texas until he retired and moved to Pearl. In his later years, he devoted much of his time writing lighthearted and humorous poetry. He was an active member of Grace Baptist church. He supported numerous service organizations and ministries throughout his life. He was an advocate for and had a big heart for the underprivileged and disadvantaged people all over the world. Michael would do anything he could, within his ability, to help those in need, especially the elderly and disabled.
David Michael is preceded in death by his father Glenn Plott, mother Beatty Jean Grinnell, and his brother Tory Dean Plot.
Michael is survived by his sisters Sally Campbell and Husband John of Altoga, Texas, Kimberley Mason and Husband David of Round Rock, Texas, and Tawnee Lawson of Pflugerville, Texas. His surviving brother is Jeffrey Plott of Alvin, Texas His was loved by numerous nieces and nephews and will be missed by all.
Memorials may be given to Grace Baptist Church ministries or any other charitable service organization in David Michaels Name. The family of David Michael Plott wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the Ministry and Congregation of Grace Baptist Church for the friendship and companionship offered to David Michael. Some special thanks go to David and Rosanna Foy for the love and care they shared with David Michael as neighbors.
