Obituary for Corrine Bratton Henson
Corrine Bratton Henson, 81, of Pickens, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 7th, 2017, surrounded by her loving family following an extended illness.
Mrs. Henson was born September 19th, 1935 in Toccopola, MS to the late Doyle W. Bratton and Velva Fortner Bratton. Along with her husband, she owned and operated “Cliff’s Shopette” grocery store in Pickens for more than 20 years. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend. Her grandchildren will miss their “Gaungee” dearly.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her parents-in-law, Clifton “Big Cliff” and Alice Henson; sisters: Billie Jo Sykes, Elizabeth Yarborough, and Lynn Smith; and a brother, Jack Bratton.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Cliff Henson, of Pickens; daughter, Becky Henson Pepper (Stan), of Ridgeland; son, Terry Henson, of Pickens; grandchildren: Justin Warren, of Huntsville, AL, Kathryn Warren, of Nashville, Sean Henson and Brooke Henson, both of Brandon.
A Private Family Memorial Service will be held.
