Obituary for Col. Rodrick Michael Barnes, MSSG, RET.
R. Michael Barnes Brandon Michael Barnes was born in Eufaula, Alabama to the late Eddis and Robert Barnes. He attended Eufaula High School, Grady Memorial School of Radiologic Technology and Oglethorpe University. He was a medical sales representative for 25 years at KCI before his retirement. He was a Colonel in the Mississippi State Guard. He attended St. Stephen's Anglican Church in Flowood and served as a former member of the Vestry Committee and served on the Usher Committee. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Elizabeth Barnes. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Sandra; his two daughters, Michelle (Chelley) Barnes; Jessica Barnes Floyd and Gregory Jackson Floyd, Monroe, GA; grandchildren, Savannah Jennifer Hill, Monroe, GA; Tyler Thomas Duren, Covington, GA; Brannon Reed Barnes Harper, Flowood and Delaney Elizabeth Harper, Brandon. Mr. Barnes is also survived by an "adopted" daughter, Amy Carrubba D'Alfonso. He is also survived by two of the luckiest dogs in the world, Senrab and Bruce Wayne and a cat Tripp. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Stephen's Building Fund. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, November 25, 2016 at St. Stephen's Anglican Church. Visitation will begin at 12 Noon on Friday at the church. Burial will follow in Clinton Cemetery.
