Obituary for Claude "Hugh" Hulette Smith, Jr.
Claude Hulett (Hugh) Smith Jr. passed away February 28,2022. Born October 29, 1958. Only child born to Mamie Collins Smith & Claude Hulett Smith Sr. Of Yazoo City. Preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his cousins, friends & church members. Hugh graduated from Manchester Academy in 1976. He went on to Holmes Jr college and then to Mississippi College. He then went to New Orleans Baptist Theological seminary. Hugh served as youth minister at North Greenwood Baptist Church. God called him to serve at Gautier Baptist Church. The Lord then called him to Twin Lakes Baptist Church in Madison where he has been pastor since 1999. He formed many life long friends at each of the churches he served. Memorial service will be conducted by Greg Spencer of Ellisville, Ms and Wayne Kimbrough of Madison, Ms Visition will be from 10:00 to 11:00 at Twin Lakes Baptist Church followed by services at 11:00 AM.Interment will be at Glenwood Cemetery Yazoo City, Ms In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Twin Lakes Baptist Church 673 Lake Cavalier Road Madison, MS 39110.
