Obituary for Claude Alvin Griffin
Claude A. Griffin (Goober), 66 of Brandon MS, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2017.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, June 3, 2017 in the Theatre at Pinelake Baptist Church. Pastor Jeff Holand of Pinelake Baptist Church will be officiating. Visitation will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday at the church and the memorial service will begin at 2:00PM. Burial will follow the funeral at Lakeland Place Garden Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Sebrell Funeral Home.
Claude was born in Baton Rouge, LA on December 6, 1950. He graduated from Broadmoore High School. A veteran, he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. Mr. Griffin worked in the automotive industry for over 30 years. He was an active member of Pinelake Baptist Church. He enjoyed golf, travel, and hunting, and was a member of Rock Hill Hunting Club. Claude was an avid fan of the LSU Tigers.
Claude is preceded in death by his parents Charles Melvin Griffin and Maggie Mae Dyer Griffin; as well as his brother Charles Griffin Jr. and niece Maggie Rose Warren.
