Obituary for Clara Nelle Westmoreland Taylor
Clara Nelle Westmoreland Taylor was born at home in Indianola, MS on August 2, 1929. She was a leader of excellence in all her endeavors. The consummate professional as a wife, parent, teacher, church leader and in her welfare work from the 1950’s through the 1990’s. Her enthusiasm for life has been an inspiration. She believed in the best of each of us and challenged us to live up to her vision. From her marriage to John Park Taylor she leaves behind her children Jane Clark Whitaker of Lenoir City, TN, Melanie Collins of Flowood, MS and John Park Taylor Jr. of Sunflower, MS, and their spouses, seven grandchildren and their spouses, and twelve great-grandchildren. Memorial Services will be observed Saturday, March 7, 2020 at 2:00 P.M. at Sunflower Methodist Church with a visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. In Lieu of flowers, she has requested that donations be made to Delta Grace Mission, P.O. Box 218 Sunflower, MS 38738.
