Obituary for Cheryl Geoghegan

Cheryl Geoghegan, affectionately known as CiCi, passed away on October 15, 2024, at the age of 72. Born on February 22, 1952, in Dallas, Texas, Cheryl lived in Dallas and Austin then moved to Jackson, Mississippi. She spent her later years living in Jackson, Mississippi.


Cheryl was a dedicated professional who worked in various roles within the car business throughout her career. A passionate reader, she found joy in the pages of books, often accompanied by a good cup of coffee and the loving company of her dogs.


She is survived by her beloved husband, Hardy Geoghegan, and her two children, Erik Harris (Stacye) of Round Rock, Texas, and Will Harris (Diana) of Devine, Texas. Cheryl was a proud grandmother to six grandchildren: Mackenzie Harris, Kara Harris, Valkyrie Harris, Peytton Harris, Evan Harris, and Allen Harris, whom all reside in Texas.


In addition to her immediate family, Cheryl is survived by her brother, Blake Haynes (Renee) of Somerville, Alabama, her sister-in-law, Donna Haynes of Madison, Mississippi, and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.


She is preceded in death by her mother, JoAnn Haynes, stepfather Frank Haynes, father, George Van Fleet, and her brother, George B. Haynes.


Cheryl will be remembered for her quick wit, vibrant spirit, her love of family, and her zest for life. She touched the hearts of all who knew her and will be deeply missed.
