Obituary for Charlie E. Howard
Charlie E. Howard passed away on Thursday, June 11, 2020 in Jackson, Mississippi.
Charlie was born on March 18, 1934 in Gibson, GA to the blessed Union of Fannie and Willie Joe Howard whom both preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death his sisters: Lucy, Lena, Josephine, Desi, Thressa and his brothers: Henry, Willie, and Frazier. He’s the last of his siblings to be called home.
Charlie Howard's early education was in Glascock County, Ga. He often told stories about working on the farm with his siblings and Dad. He left Georgia in the 1960s and moved to Chicago as a young man. He married Theresa Sawyer and had his children: Yolanda, Angela, James, Tamiko and Bobby. He leaves to cherish his wife, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews in Chicago, Florida and Texas; cousins, friends and lots of children he loved as his own (Dad never said stepchildren or ex).
He worked for Building Services and Yellow Cab Company for many years, he loved church, humming church songs, baking pies, gardening, traveling and children. He was always helping someone. He was a very kindhearted person. He was loved by many and will be missed by many.
Thank you Dad for being Loving, Caring and Understanding. I once read: "A man leaves his mark on the world with the love he gives his children." I Love you Dad. . . Angie
