Charles Ervin Williamson, 82, died Sunday, December 25, 2022, at home with his wife. A funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 28, 2022, at Fellowship Baptist Church in Starkville, Mississippi. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Meridian, Mississippi.
Mr. Williamson was born on October 29, 1940, in Philadelphia, Mississippi; the son of the late Dalton Williamson and Bonnie Williamson. A veteran, he served his country honorably in the United States Air Force.
Mr. Williamson previously was employed at Cali’co Hardwood Inc in Santa Rosa, Ca ; before returning in 1981 to Mississippi. He began a long career with Little Debbie as Distribution Manager He retired in January 2022.
Mr. Williamson loved college football, especially Mississippi State University. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
Most of all he cherished his family and enjoyed spending time with them.
Survivors include his wife, Janet L. Williamson of Starkville; daughter; Sheri Schanrock (Chris) of Meridian; daughter, Charlene Babbini (Ron) of , Healdsburg CA; Melissa Newman (Lee) of Brandon; Russ Buntyn (Ashley) of Monroe, LA; 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren ; sister, Linda Beatty of Meridian; a niece and2 nephews .
