Charles Edwin McBride died on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. He was 72.
A native of Durant, Mississippi and born on June 27, 1949, he was the son of the late Edwin and Elma Hendricks McBride.
Charles was a lifelong musician who loved to play bass and guitar. He was affiliated with many bands since his youth and was skilled and talented in his music and playing instruments. He also enjoyed playing tennis and golf. Known for his unique sense of humor, he was the life of the party and was always telling a joke. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Jonathan McBride.
He is survived by his daughter, Stephanie McBride, of Lawrenceville, GA; son, Shaun McBride (Kristy), of Florence; brother, Allen McBride (Lee), of Gluckstadt; grandchildren, Jordan Pittman, Johnathan McBride, Peyton McBride, and Brice McBride; his best friend, Mike Burns.
Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at New Life (Shiloh) Assembly of God, 300 Shiloh Road, Brandon, with Pastor Ricky McCall officiating.
