Obituary for Charles David Reel
Charles David Reel passed away Monday, March 7, 2022 at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson, MS. He was 75. Charles was born on August 19, 1946 to the late John H. Reel, Sr. and Betty Sanders Reel. He was a gifted and talented musician playing his guitar for friends and family all of the time. His cowboy hat and western outfits made his personality shine brighter making him unforgettable to everyone he met. Charles enjoyed tinkering with his antique trucks and going fishing. He was a painter for more than 40 years; he loved showing the beautiful work of his hands to everyone and taught his son, Charles Reel, Jr. how to walk in his shoes. His son is carrying on his legacy still today. Charles loved his family and adored his children and grandchildren, and most recently, he doted on his great grandson. He is a beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend who will be greatly missed. Charles is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 1 sister. He is survived by his close friend, Sophie Stevens; his sons, David Reel and Charles Reel, Jr. (Nicole); his daughter, Christey Cooper (Jon); 9 siblings; grandchildren, Jon Jon Cooper (Kaitlyn), Brittney Cooper, Tylor Reel, Jessy Marie Reel, Bradley Nobles, Nicole Magee (Michael) and Hunter Reel; and great grandson, Luke Cooper. Memorial Services 3:00 PM, Sunday, March 13, 2022 Mountain Creek Baptist Church Florence, Mississippi.
