Obituary for Charles Alford
Charles Edward Alford, 63, died October 30, 2021, at St. Dominic Jackson Memorial Hospital. Charles was born on August 30, 1958 in Donalsonville, GA; the son of the late, Willie Clyde Alford and Sammie Kathryn Simmons Alford. Charles graduated from Provine High School, Jackson, MS; 1976. He received an Associate Degree in Industrial Drafting at Hinds Junior College. He studied electronics at Mississippi Delta Community College, Morehead, MS., and received his service qualification (Certified Quantro Intillerepeater) and shop level qualification (Certified Glenayre) in 1997. Charles’s work centered on commercial communications. He worked for Modern/Delta Communications; AR. & MS.; Commtronics, Lake Village, AR. Between 1995-1998 he owned & operated his own business (Installs Pluss), Indianola, MS. He then moved to Jackson, MS., where he worked for Jackson Communications, Natcom Inc. & Shank Communications. Charles was a quiet man that struggled with his emotions & how he really felt inside. He loved his children dearly & was happiest when he could spend time with them. He was a free spirit that loved riding his motorcycle, playing guitars & making people laugh. He will be missed by many that loved him dearly. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by a son, Zachary Alford; brothers, Terry Alford, Glenn Alford, & Bill Alford & sister, Sandy Alford Manuel. Charles is survived by his son, Noel Alford (Ashley) of Brookhaven, MS.; daughters, Paige Fletcher (Corey) of Brookhaven, MS.; & Brittany Smith ((Jared) of Oxford, MS., & Hanna Hughes of Huntsville, AL.; sister, Elizabeth Milstead (Bill) of Clinton, MS.; & sister-in-law, Cynthia Alford of Coldwater, MS. He is survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces & nephews. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Sebrell Funeral Home, 425 Northpark Dr., Ridgeland, MS 39157. Memorials may be made in honor of Charles Alford to Friends of Alcoholics, PO Box 217, Flora, MS 39071. No flowers please.
