Obituary for Carolyn Youngblood Bushman
Carolyn Youngblood Bushman, 100, died Friday, March 23, 2018 at Chadwick Nursing Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at Sebrell Funeral Home with interment following at Lakewood Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 12 Noon Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Bushman was born on July 20, 1917 in Greenville, the daughter of the late Charles and Alice Youngblood. A graduate of Glen Allan High School, she continued her education at Delta State University. During WWII, she worked at Hawkins field where she met and married Alfred Charles Bushman. Residing throughout the United States for many years, she returned to Jackson 47 years ago. Mrs. Bushman worked as a dental assistant for her brother, William A. Youngblood, D.D.S. until she retired at age 86. She was a faithful member of Christ United Methodist Church. Survivors include sons, Gary Bushman of East Tawas, MI; Charlie Bushman of Memphis, TN; Mark Bushman of Jackson; grandchild, Timothy Paul Bushman; great grandchildren, Daniel and Ryce Bushman and brother, Charles Bushman of GA. Memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church.
