Obituary for Carole Anne Duff Rohlfs
Carole Anne Duff Rohlfs of Jackson passed away May 7, 2021. She was born on a farm in Nodaway County, Missouri to Robert Dean and Helen May Duff on March 7, 1944. She was one of 5 children. On May 8, 1971, she was married to Frederick Rohlfs.
Carole graduated from Maryville High School and attended Northwest Missouri State University in Maryville, Missouri. She met Fred in the pet depart where he was working. Between the two they have 6 children, Robert, Mark, Andy, Kim, Kirk and Mena, a considered daughter, 16 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren with 2 new great-grandchildren on the way.
Throughout her life, Carole has dedicated her life to her church and the service of children. She retired from teaching at Highland Elementary School and the Jackson Public Library System. She was an Elder and Sunday School Teacher at Northeast Christian Church. She has always been active in youth groups in the churches Fred serviced. She enjoyed playing dominos, gardening, cooking, and traveling. She and Fred moved to Jackson in December of 2001.
She is survived by her husband, Fred Rohlfs, her sister, Mary Brinson, her brother George Duff, a considered sister, Mary Noel-Owens, her children Robert, Mark, Kirk, and Kim Henggeler, Mena Burnett, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Dorothy Belle Bryce, her brother Robert Clinton Duff, and her stepson, Andrew Rohlfs.
A celebration of her life will be held at Northeast Christian Church in Madison at 10:00 am, May 10, 2021 and at a later date in her home state of Missouri.
