Carol Pickering, 82, was called to her eternal home on October 5, 2022. A celebration of her life will be held on October 13, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Madison followed by interment at a later date.
Carol was a lifetime resident of Mississippi. She was born on December 17, 1939. Carol was married to Roy Pickering for 43 years. Carol has two sons, Manton (Galse) of Brandon and Kyle (Fancy) of Shreveport; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Also surviving are her are sisters, Mary Runninglin (Brian) and Shirley Swan of Purvis along with numerous nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ted Ryan and Ola Ryan of Purvis; sisters, Dorothy Noble, Peggy Salter.
After graduating high school, Carol attended Pearl River Community College.
Carol worked for 34 years at Deposit Guaranty National Bank in the Financial Department. Residing in North Jackson, she attended First Baptist Church of Jackson for 35 years and First Baptist Church of Madison for 12 years. She was loved by so many for her kindness and compassionate ways. Carol touched the lives of people literally all over MS. Her kindness, gentile, spirit and authentic, gentile spirit and authentic humility are what those who knew her will most remember.
