Obituary for Candice Ann Pearson Brown
Candice Ann Pearson Brown was called home on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center following a sudden illness. She was 63.
A native of Greenville, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Troy and Venerea Minchew Pearson.
Candice was a longtime resident of the Jackson area and currently resided in Pearl. She began her almost four decades in the nursing profession entering the field as a nursing assistant. She attended Hinds Junior College where she received her LPN degree and ultimately completed her Associate Degree in Nursing. She was an RN in numerous areas of nursing including hospice, psych, and neuro specialties. Candice worked hard and was an example of strength, perseverance, and determination. You couldn’t mistake her laugh and her smile with her big green eyes and her flaming red hair! She always reminded others and would set the example of doing the next right thing and following your heart. She often reminded others struggling “that God would make a way and He will never give you more than you can handle…”
Candice loved her family. She cherished her grandchildren and was giving and loving with them to a fault. Everybody would always say how spoiled they are or how much she spoiled them rotten but she was quick to correct any and everyone they are were not spoiled but instead very well loved. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, coworker, and loyal friend. Her loss is so sudden and she will be missed by her family and friends tremendously.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly Ann Russell.
She is survived by her daughters, Kristy Michelle Clack (Larry), of Mendenhall and Kayce Ann Taylor (Michael), of Ridgeland; son, Matthew Damon O’Neal, of Spokane, WA; brothers, Troy Pearson, of Jackson and Ricky Pearson, of Pearl; her much beloved grandchildren: Savannah Grace Clack, Gage Christian Clack, Kwinton Tywon Taylor, Tristan Markus Taylor, and Memphis Kamari Taylor; nephews: Jeffrey Michael Pearson, Dustin Allen Pearson, and Brandon Lee Pearson; and a host of other relatives and many colleagues and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Parkway Cemetery in Kosciusko, MS.
