Obituary for Calvin Clinton Powell
Calvin Clinton Powell, died Friday, June 10, 2016. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, June 17, 2016 at Crossroads Holiness Church in Raleigh, Mississippi. A visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Friday at the church. A graveside service will follow at the Crossroads Holiness Church Cemetery. Mr. Powell is survived by his wife Isabella of Raymond; daughter, Regina Manning and her husband Jack of Orange Park, Florida; daughter, Gail Lane and her husband Doug of Terry, MS; daughter, Dawn Spellman and her husband Mark of Terry, MS; and son, Ian Powell of Raymond, MS. He is also survived by grandchildren, Michael, Michelle, John Clinton, Alecia, Amanda, Al, Kati, Brent, Eric, Page, Lori, and Drew as well as 25 great grandchildren and .1 great-great grandchild. He is also survived by a sister, Euline Day and husband Joel of Victorville, CA and brother, Stennis Powell and wife Sue of Magee, MS. The family has requested in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Trinity Wesleyan Church, 6950 S. Siwell Road, Byram, MS 39272, the Wynndale Presbyterian Church, 6600 Terry Road, Terry, MS 39170, Crossroads Holiness Church, 5763 Highway 540, Raleigh, Mississippi 39153 or to Jesus Raleigh Jesus Name Church, Hwy 40 West , Raleigh, MS 39153.
