Obituary for Bryan MacQuiston Barry
Bryan MacQuiston Barry, age 77 of Jackson, MS passed away on Tuesday, January 11th, 2022 at St. Dominic Hospital, Jackson, MS. He was born in Dallas, TX to Charles Stewart Barry, Jr., and Charlotte MacQuiston Barry on January 6, 1945. He is predeceased by his parents and brother Malcolm MacQuiston Barry.
Bryan moved to Jackson, MS at the age of four and was educated in the Jackson Public Schools. He attended Boyd Elementary, Bailey Junior High and graduated from Murrah High School in the class of 1963. He attended Mississippi State University and Belhaven University, graduating with Bachelors of Business Administration. Additionally, he earned a Juris Doctorate from Mississippi College. He served 6 years in the Mississippi National Guard in Company B, 20th Special Forces were he completed Airborne School and the Special Forces Qualification Course. He served as the President of Fountain Sales and Service, a fountain Coca Cola and Frozen Coke distributor. He also served many years as the General Manager of the fountain department of the Coca Cola Bottling Company. He was a proud member of the Beaver-Bear Lunch Group and was a member of Saint James Episcopal Church in Jackson. He is survived by his sons, Bryan (Bo) MacQuiston Barry Jr. (Kelly), James (Jim) Temple Barry (Vanessa), and John Padgitt Barry (Natalie); his grandchildren, Bryan M. Barry, III (Mac), Campbell Owen Barry, Owen Lyle Barry, Jacob Clay Windham, Isabel Marie Butler, Brooke Padgitt Barry, Tatum Miller Barry and Matthew Enrique Barry; His Great Grandchildren, Reed Edwards and Anna Claire Windham and Siblings, Charles Stewart Barry, III (Beckie), Susan Barry Duke (Frank) and Temple Wood Barry (Charlotte); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, the 20th of January at 11 AM at St. James Episcopal Church in Jackson Ms.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to The American Stroke Association, or a favorite charity.
