Obituary for Bobbie June Cisneros
Bobbie Cisneros, born in Yazoo County, MS June 28th, 1932, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, November 18th, 2021. She is preceded in death her husband Paul Cisneros, parents Tom and Bertha Lester, five siblings (Bruce Lester, Dale Malone, Bill Lester, Nettie Moss, and Danny Lester), two grandsons (Shannon Martin and Michael Martin) and one great-grandson (Thomas Daniel Martin)
She is survived by her three children, Marsha Martin Scarborough (Tommy), Ronnie Martin (Judy), and Bob Martin, her siblings Phala Ables, Tommy Lester (Alma), Jerry Lester, Sherry Langham, and Rick Lester (Lisa), her seven grandchildren (Jason Scarborough, Michelle Butler, Jonathan Scarborough, Gabrielle Lovern, Brandi Martin Gartman, TW Martin, and Franky Martin) and 20 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Bobbie was a joyful, happy soul who always greeted people with a smile. She loved everyone, and never met a stranger. She loved family and captured every possible moment with a picture while uttering her favorite phrase of capturing those moments, “Precious memories.” She never forgot a birthday and would call every single person in the family on their special day with a warm happy birthday greeting and always ended the call with “I love you.”

She never missed a Christmas without giving every single person a gift, which was as rare then as it is now. She also never missed important moments in life, whether it was the welcoming of a new life into this world or saying goodbye to a loved one-she was there. She loved the Gaither Gospel songs. She loved the old hymns, and her three children have precious memories of her playing the piano and singing those hymns. Often when gathered with family, she would break out in song, “Precious Memories.”

Her personality was as colorful as her life. She could tug on your heartstrings one second and laughing the next. When she hugged you, you felt it down to your soul. She was tough, strong, forgiving, kind, faithful, but most of all generous. She gave of herself a thousand times over, whether it was money, food, or shelter-she helped countless people who’d met hard times over her lifetime. She gave of herself innumerably over the course of her life, which is the mark of a life well lived.

She lived a full, happy life, spending the last 30 plus year married to her best friend, traveling, spending time with family, and living each day to the absolute fullest. She nearly always closed a conversation that delivered good news with her signature, “Praise the Lord” and often spoke of the Jesus “Who never left her side.”

Today, she is reunited with her Jesus and all of those who’ve gone before her. She will be sorely missed but celebrated Tuesday, November 23rd at Sebrell Funeral Home in Ridgeland. Visitation is from 11am-1pm, with the service at 1pm and burial to follow at Flora Cemetery in Madison County. Pall bearers are grandsons Jason and Jonathan Scarborough, son-in-law Tommy Scarborough, grandson Franky Martin, Ricky Cauthen and Paul Lungrin. Service will be officiated by Pastor Norris Ables and Pastor Shannon Davis. Music for the service will be provided by Larry Lester.
