Obituary for Betty Ruth Jolly
Miss Betty Ruth Jolly went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 5, 2017. Betty was born on May 11, 1932 in Greenwood, MS, the daughter of Curtis Earnest Jolly and Elizabeth Barrentine Jolly. She was a faithful member of Grace Primitive Baptist Church, Pearl, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Martha Ryals Ratliff. Betty is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Wauweese Hackett, Madison, Mrs. Charline Ivey (Eddie) Brandon, and a brother, Curtis Jolly (Barbara) Greenwood, nieces, nephews, and a special friend Lois Seymour. She graduated from Greenwood High School and was employed by Mississippi Valley Gas Company in Greenwood. She transferred to Jackson and retired in 1994 after 33 years of service. Services will be 11:00 AM at Grace Primitive Baptist Church, 349 Crosspark Drive, Pearl, MS with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Greenwood, MS with a prayer service at 3:00 p.m. The family would like to thank Hospice Ministries for their loving care and compassion.
