Ava Virginia “Ginger” Herrington Davis died on Monday, August 30, 2021 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. She was 73.

She believed in the power of prayer and was a faithful prayer warrior. She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Clinton.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Richard Herrington and Martin Herrington.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Phillip “Phil” Davis, of Clinton; their children, Mac Davis (Amy), of Clinton; Laura Davis, of Collins; Richard Davis, of Clinton; and Joy Holmes (Jerry), of Brandon; grandchildren, Nathan and Daniel Davis, Tyson Gant (Derian) and Nathan Davis (Merlyna); and Cullen, Ava, Josiah, and John Holmes; sisters, Kay Owen, of Bossier City, LA and Victoria Goeders (Peter), of Haughton, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
