Obituary for Aubra Lafayette (Bud) Parman
Aubra L. (Bud) Parman, 99, died Sunday, January 6, 2019 at home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 11, 2019 at St. James’ Episcopal Church with burial following in Lakewood Memorial Park. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Friday in Oak Ridge Hall at St. James’.
Mr. Parman was born on October 2, 1919, in Elmwood, Ohio the son of the late Aubra and Mary Parman. A veteran he served his country honorably in the U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII in the Asiatic Theatre of Operations and was awarded numerous medals for his service during his time in the Philippines.
Mr. Parman was a commercial contractor for most of his career, owning and operating his own contracting firm. He and his wife Ernestine were charter communicates of St. James’ Episcopal Church and his contracting firm was responsible for the construction of the original church.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Ernestine (Doll) Parman, son, William Rodney Parman, son Greg Aubra Parman and his sister.
Survivors include his son, Michael Parman of Jackson; grandchildren, Yancy Porter of Oxford; Mariel Parman of Birmingham, AL and Shannon Parman McIntosh of Rome, GA.
