Obituary for Annette Watson
Annette Estelle Watson passed away Sunday, May 3, 2020 at Winona Manor in Winona, MS. She was 63. Annette was born to the late George Franklin Watson, Sr. and Kathryn Williams Watson in Canton, MS on September 22, 1956. Annette had a sweet, gentle and loving spirit who never met a stranger; in her younger life, she loved to dance and entertain. As she grew older, she still enjoyed being the center of attention. She loved to visit with those she loved whether it was family or her friends at Winona Manor.
She worked at Willowood Developmental Center until her mother retired when she decided she wanted to retire, also, to be at home with her. Annette played in several hand bell choirs including The Mustard Seed Hand Bell Choir with whom she performed at the 1984 World’s Fair in New Orleans, LA. Annette also loved sports. She has participated in the Special Olympics several times in the softball throw and track events winning many ribbons and metals. Annette loved and was loved by everyone; she is a daughter, sister and aunt who will be greatly missed by who knew her.
Annette is preceded in death by her father.
She is survived by her mother, Kathryn Watson; brothers, Butch (Kathy) Watson and Mitch (Teresa) Watson both from Florence, MS and Mike (Lisa)Watson from Pearl, MS; nephews and nieces, Greg (Renee) Watson, Jeramy (Dancy) Watson, Amanda (Ryan) McCool, Marc Watson, Lindsey (Todd) Burkes and Colby (Katie) Watson; along with numerous great nieces and nephews.
There will be a private graveside service at Lakewood Memorial Park Cemetery with Calvin Williams officiating.
Pallbearers will be Colby Watson, Todd Burkes, Greg Watson, Jeramy Watson, Marc Watson and Ryan McCool.
