Obituary for Annette Ledlow McCullough
Annette Ledlow McCullough died on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. She was 81. Born in Yazoo City, on May 8, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Lunnie Page Ledlow. She was raised in Yazoo County and was a graduate of Anding High School where she was voted “Most Beautiful” and “Most Talented.” She was a magnificent and self-taught piano player who also loved to fish, garden and work in her yard. She retired from the Federal U.S. Bankruptcy Court following many years of service. Mrs. McCullough was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. A kind, non-confrontational woman who exemplified strength and grace …. selfless and giving; always putting others first. She had a wonderful sense of humor and found good in every situation. She was a superb cook and very well-known for her biscuits and also a love for her fur babies: Lolli, Jake, and Sampson. She was devoted to her Christian faith. She had been a longtime member of Franklin Baptist Church and attended First Baptist Church Flora and Grace Crossing Baptist Church Canton. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Walter G. (Cowboy) McCullough; brothers, Hubert Ledlow, Robert Ledlow, Willie Ledlow; sisters, Ruby Kalil, Earlene Sessler, Rose Richardson, and Barbara Nell Jones. She is survived by her sons, Flint McCullough (Nikki), of Flora; Bret McCullough (Tara), of Canton; sister, Katherine Plunkett, of Yazoo City; grandchildren, Bryan Tyler McCullough and Hayden Cille McCullough; great grandson, Charles Beauman McCullough and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at First Baptist Church of Flora, 102 Jackson St., Flora. Interment will follow in Flora Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service on Thursday at the church. Memorials may be made to Hospice Ministries, 450 Towne Center Blvd., Ridgeland, MS 39157.
