Obituary for Annette Case
Annette Hales Case passed quietly from this life in her home in Clinton on April 18, 2020. She was 74.
Born in the Smith community of Flora, Mississippi on March 9, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Howard Hales and Mabel Warner.
Annie, as she was known by her family, spent most of her adult life in Clinton MS where she raised her 4 children. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved her family above all and never missed an opportunity to brag on them. Her greatest joy was hosting people at her home. She was always prepared with a fresh baked cake and pot of coffee. Her hobbies were working in her flower gardens and shopping.
She is preceded in death by her mother Mabel Warner and step father George Warner and her father Howard Hales, her only daughter, Tammy Renay Alford, her youngest son, Anthony Scott Case; sisters, Emma Lee Prisock and Evelyn Allevia; brothers, George Lewis Hales and John Wayne Hales.
She is survived by her sons, James Vernon “Pete” Case, Jr. and James Allen Matthews (Donna); her twin sister, Paulette Matthews; sister, Peggy Plummer (Ralph); brothers, Alton Hales (Linda) and Bob Hales (Dot); sister-in-law, Dean Hales; grandchildren: Jamie Alford, April Alford, Aubrey Lee Alford, Dylan Case, and Conner Case; and her 8 great grandchildren and host of nieces and nephews, including special nieces; Malissa Robinson, Shannon Palmire and Sheila Blakely, and nephews; David Matthews and Michael Perritt.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at Flora Cemetery. Officiate – Ralph Plummer. Honorary Pall bearers, David Roberts, David Matthews, Michael Perritt, Nathan Cupit.
