Obituary for Anna Mitchell Bennett
Anna Bennett, 95, passed away on March 21, 2021 at her home. A native of Aldrich, MO, born January 29, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Oliver Warden Mitchell and the late Flora Maye Saylor Mitchell. She was a lover of music and a trained musician. She sang in the Jackson Choral Society for over 50 years. She was a longtime member of St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church. She was a joyful and loving wife, mother, and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband, Collins Bennett, and her daughter, Lynn Bennett. She is survived by her son, Lee Bennett, of Jackson, and other relatives. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 27th beginning at 5:30 p.m. until the hour of the service at 6 p.m. at St. Matthews United Methodist Church, 7427 Old Canton Rd. in Madison.
