Obituary for Anna Marie Brumley
Anna Marie Brumley, 93, died Thursday, August 16, 2018 surrounded by her family at home.
Mrs. Brumley was born on May 29, 1925, in Water Valley, Mississippi, the daughter of the late William Lafayette Madden and Dena Vanderford Madden. She graduated High School in Water Valley, and continued her education at the University of Mississippi where she earned a degree in business administration. Mrs. Brumley served as a teacher until her retirement from Minges Brook Elementary School in Battle Creek, Michigan.
She enjoyed painting, sewing, reading, and spending time with her family. Mrs. Brumley was a member of Saint Mark’s Methodist Church in Brandon, Mississippi.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of seventy-one years Thomas Bert Brumley, daughter, Lisa Ann Brumley and sons, Wendell and Kent Brumley.
Survivors include: son Brent Brumley (Theresa) of Brandon , MS; grandchildren Madden and Parker Brumley of Brandon, MS; Damian Thompson of Pearl, MS; Tyler Morris of Brandon, MS; Steve Brumley and Nancy Brumley of West Covina, CA; and great grandchildren Osiris Thompson of Pearl, MS; Alexandria and Andrew Brumley of West Covina, CA; daughter-in-law, Carole Brumley of West Covina, CA; brother, Richard Madden (Roberta) of Birmingham, AL; sister, Mabel Klann of Zephyr Hills, FL; sister-in-law Lillian Wilkins of Starkville, MS; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
