Obituary for Ann Martello Spitchley

Ann Martello Spitchley, 81, of Ridgeland died Thursday, June 28, 2018 in her home.

A native of Natchez and born November 11, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Anthony J. and Zalenda Boschieri Martello.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Reagan Spitchley, and her son, Jeffrey Spitchley.

She is survived by her children: son, James Reagan “Jay” Spitchley II (Lisa), of Madison; daughter, Cindy Spitchley, of Ridgeland; son, Justin Spitchley, of Jackson; grandchildren: Britt Spitchley Tune (Jeremy), Marianne Spitchley Smith (McLean), James Rivers Spitchley, Emily Woods, Cameron Reid, Austin Reid, Tara Naef Fankhauser, and Dana Naef Bryant; great grandchildren: Campbell Tune and Grey Tune; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at The Cathedral of St. Peter the Apostle, 123 N. West Street, Jackson, The Very Reverend Anthony Quyet Nguyen, celebrant. Interment will follow in Lakewood Memorial Park. Visitation with the family after 10:00 a.m. Saturday in the Parish Hall of the Cathedral.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Tune, Vince Martello, James Rivers Spitchley, Mitch Jenkins, McLean Smith, and Austin Reid.

The family requests memorials are made in Ann’s name to the St. Peter Cathedral Choir Fund, 123 N. West St., Jackson MS 39201.
