Obituary for Anita Burr Gerald
Anita Marie (Burr) Gerald passed away Sunday, May 12th, 2019 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, MS. She was 55. Anita was born September 25th, 1963 in Natchez, MS the late Roger Wayne Burr and Charlotte Moseley. She was passionate about animal rescue and gardening. Over the years she rescued many dogs and cats. Anita also worked for Calloway’s Yard and Gardens, Lakeland’s Yard and Gardens and Walmart Garden Center in Flowood. She helped her long-time friend Patricia Eaves with the gardening at Rosemead Estates in Madison. Anita is preceded in death by her son- David Wesley Gerald and her father- Roger Wayne Burr. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Michael Ray Gerald of Jackson, MS and her sister- Penny Burr Adcock (Paul) of Brandon, MS. Services will be Thursday, May 16th, 2019 at Sebrell Funeral Home. Visitation begins at 11:30 AM- 1:30 PM, service at 1:30 with Gary White officiating. Interment will be at Lakewood Memorial Gardens on Clinton Blvd in Jackson. Memorials may made to the Humane Society at Mississippi Animal Rescue 5221 Greenway Dr. Exnd., Jackson, MS 39204.
