ALEXANDER “ALEXX” MCNINCH (CARAWAY)
Alexander “Alexx” McNinch (Caraway), 17, died Wednesday, November 29, 2017 from injuries sustained following an automobile accident.
Alexx was a Leap Year Baby, the eldest of his seven siblings, born on February 29, 2000 in Bethesda, Maryland. He had attended 9th grade at Smith Station High School in Smith Station, Alabama, then spending his remaining high school years where he was presently a Senior at McLaurin Attendance Center. He was linebacker, tight end, and a Captain of the McLaurin Tigers Football Team. He was a humble A/B student having recently been accepted to Mississippi State University where he was planning on pursuing his engineering studies.
Alexx was an avid gamer where he connected with many new friends. Alexx was a happy and vibrant young man full of potential. He had many friends whom he loved and cherished. He will be loved and missed by all who knew him
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Larry D. Caraway. He is survived by his loving parents, Jarrett and Jes Caraway, of Brandon; his father, Barron Sawyer (Brandy), of Phoenix City, AL; his brothers: Elijah, Barron Jr., Holden, Tanner, and Bobby; sisters: Stella Jo and Aspyn; maternal grandparents: Pete and Doris Wheeler, of Navarre Beach, FL and Linda Rice, of Springfield, OH; great grandmother, Betty Davis, of Jackson; and numerous other loving relatives and many, many friends.
A Memorial Service will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Star Baptist Church, 301 Magnum Dr. in Star with the Reverend John Patterson officiating. The family requests that all attendees dress in McLaurin Attendance Center colors or jerseys and gear.
